An area located at the foot of the Sierra María los Vélez Natural Park, which consists of the villages of Chirivel, Vélez Rubio, Vélez Blanco and María. What a pleasant environment this is, and what friendly people you will meet here. The white mountain village of Vélez Blanco, with its castle at the top, will especially attract your attention. And in the main street of this beautiful village stands this attractive house.
A house that looks like many houses in the village from the outside. White, wooden doors and window frames, three floors and small balconies at the front. Are you also curious about how this house looks like on the inside? Let´s take a look.
We enter the house through a hallway that is separated from the living room by a double door with stained-glass windows. As soon as we open these doors, we enter a cosy living room. We are pleasantly surprised by the beautiful marble floor, the playful layout by the alternating use of brick and plaster and at the end of the living room a beautiful passage to the stairwell. The living room has a fireplace that will certainly warm the room up sufficiently in the winter.
If we go back through the living room, we will find the staircase to the kitchen on the right. We descend a beautiful staircase, the sides tiled with tiles so typical of this region. We end up in a large, fully equipped kitchen-diner, which has a cosy atmosphere thanks to the use of light colours on the floor and the beautiful tiles on the walls.
We return to the living room and walk through to the staircase hall. The iron, open staircase with beautiful iron ornaments and wooden steps gives this hall in combination with the marble floor and the height of the staircase a beautiful, luxurious look. In this hall we find the first toilet. Before we go upstairs we walk through the hall. Through a staircase we come to the patio, with access to the roof terrace. Imagine what a beautiful city garden you can make of this. Can you imagine sitting with a glass of wine in your hand, enjoying a good book, between the white painted walls with attractive flower boxes all around? Time really stands still here.
All right, we´ll take you upstairs after all. We walk back to the stairs and climb to the first floor. We arrive on a landing that leads to a large bedroom, which is designed in a sleeping and a sitting area. This room has a large built-in wardrobe and, in addition to an electric heater, its own fireplace.
Leaving the bedroom, the landing leads to the first bathroom, which has a large glass wall overlooking the corridor to the patio.
One floor higher, we come again in a large double bedroom consisting of a front and back room. The combination of authentic elements and the sleek walls and curved passageway gives the whole a unique appearance.
Finally, we walk through to the second bathroom. This bathroom, located at the end of the landing, is very neat and equipped with toilet, sink, shower and a bathtub.
All in all, we have seen a very surprising house today. On the outside it looked a lot like the other houses in the village, but inside it has its own unique look.
